What is Emerging Leaders?

Our goal is to empower each other--young adults and college students--to create a positive social and intellectual climate for marriage. We are doing this by providing education and resources for each other, creating a sense of community in our age group and with professionals that advocate marriage, and inspiring each other to be involved in the marriage movement.

Students for the Family Gets Conference Rolling

Students for the Family, a volunteer organization run by students and young professionals, recently successfully completed a fund raising campaign to fund a large regional conference in October. With the help of an online donations platform, over 40 students helped to solicit small donations from almost 400 donors, to reach a goal of $8000. Congratulations to SFTF for all their hard work! Student Leaders

One very effective way to influence campus culture is to become involved in student leadership and volunteer work through campus groups. The very presence of a conservative pro-family student group on campus helps to influence the thinking and actions of your peers.

The Ruth Institute wants to identify students who have formed into such student groups on university campuses, and help them to succeed in their work to learn about the issues, become involved, and advocate for marriage and lifelong married love among their peers.

The benefit of becoming a Ruth Institute sponsored Student Group includes:

To become an Emerging Leaders sponsored group, download the Application for Student Groups, fill it out and email it to Ruthinfo@ruthinstitute.org.

Sponsored groups who receive funding will be required to submit an Application & Proposal for Funding. After downloading and completing your proposal, please email it to Ruthinfo@ruthinstitute.org.

We also ask for two submissions per group per semester to our blog. Any member can fulfill these requirements.
